I. Mechanical Properties of Gr5 Titanium Square Bars
High strength-to-weight ratio
Density only 4.43g/cm³, tensile strength 900-1100MPa, yield strength 850-1000MPa.
High-temperature performance stability: Tensile strength is approximately 900MPa at 600℃, and drops to 650MPa at 700℃.
2. Elastic modulus and hardness
The elastic modulus at room temperature is 110-120 gpa, and it slightly decreases at high temperatures.
Vickers hardness: 330-400HV, Brinell hardness: 300-350HB.
Ii. Thermal Performance
1. High-temperature resistance
The operating temperature range is -200℃ to 400℃, and the tensile strength remains approximately 700MPa at 500℃.
The coefficient of thermal expansion is 8.5-9.5μm/m·°C, which is lower than that of aluminum alloy, and it has excellent high-temperature dimensional stability .
2. Thermal conductivity and melting point
Thermal conductivity: 15-20W/m·K.
Melting point 1660-1680℃, and its oxidation resistance is superior to that of pure titanium .
Iii. Corrosion resistance and biocompatibility
It has excellent corrosion resistance in salt spray, seawater and acid-base environments, and a low oxidation rate within 500℃.
Good biocompatibility, widely used in orthopedic implants and dental restorations .
Iv. Processing Technology Characteristics
Forging : A temperature gradient of 900-950℃ needs to be controlled to prevent cracking .
Heat treatment : annealing optimizes toughness, and aging enhances strength .
V. Typical Application Fields
Aerospace : engine components, fuselage structural parts .
Chemical industry : corrosion-resistant reactors, pipelines .
