High Strength: GR5 titanium alloy possesses high tensile strength, generally not less than 895 MPa, and yield strength not less than 825 MPa, maintaining structural stability under significant pressure and stress.
Lightweight: Its density is approximately 4.5 g/cm³, far lower than steel and slightly higher than aluminum, yet its strength is significantly higher, resulting in a high strength-to-weight ratio, suitable for weight-sensitive applications.
Corrosion Resistance: It exhibits excellent corrosion resistance to seawater, humid air, and most organic and inorganic acids due to the formation of a stable oxide film on its surface, effectively blocking external corrosive media.
High Temperature Resistance: With an operating temperature range of -100℃ to 550℃, it maintains good mechanical properties even at high temperatures, without rapidly softening or experiencing a significant decrease in strength.

Production process and specifications of Titanium tube grade 5

GR5 titanium alloy tubes are relatively difficult to produce. Typically, GR5 titanium alloy ingots are first forged into billets using vertical extrusion equipment. After removing the surface oxide scale with acid and alkali, the billets are then manufactured into tubes using deep hole drilling, extrusion, turning, or other machining methods.

For smaller GR5 titanium alloy tubes, they can also be produced directly by machining titanium bars.

Production process: Titanium alloy ingots are forged, annealed, deep-hole drilled or extruded, and then machined and surface treated (such as pickling, polishing, anodizing) to make pipes.

Common specifications: outer diameter 12.7 mm to 101.6 mm, wall thickness 1–5 mm, length can be customized (1–6 m).
