However, titanium screws are far more difficult to manufacture than steel screws. For example, a supplier in Shenzhen, China, has extremely stringent production requirements: any product with an error exceeding 0.3 millimeters is considered scrap. By introducing high-precision grinding machines and optimizing fine machining processes, the company increased its yield rate from the initial 60% to nearly 100%, and it took four years to achieve stable mass production.
With the development of 5G communication, foldable screen phones, and smart wearable devices, the application of titanium screws in the consumer electronics field is expanding from simple fasteners to structural components. From early back cover screws to key structural components such as mid-frames and hinges, titanium alloys are becoming an important material choice for differentiating high-end mobile phones.
