Pure nickel tubing is a type of tubing made from metal with a nickel content of ≥99%. Due to its excellent corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance, and mechanical properties, it is widely used in chemical, aerospace, and electronics industries.

Seamless tubing specifications range from 1.5mm to 150mm in diameter and 0.5mm to 10.0mm in wall thickness. Products are available in three processing states: soft (M), hard (Y), and semi-hard (Y2). Common grades include Ni200 and Ni201. The nickel and cobalt content in the composition table varies depending on the grade, and the content of elements such as copper, silicon, manganese, and carbon is limited. It is mainly used in the alkali industry, chlor-alkali chemical industry, organochloride production, food processing, high-temperature corrosive environments, electronic instrument component manufacturing, and water treatment.

• Corrosion Resistance: The surface oxide film makes it resistant to strong alkalis and chlorides, making it one of the preferred materials for treating caustic alkalis.
• High Temperature Resistance: Melting point up to 1455℃, maintaining stable performance even at high temperatures.
• Mechanical Properties: Tensile strength typically between 370-540 MPa, with good toughness and processability.

• Chemical Equipment: Used for corrosion-resistant components in the chlor-alkali industry, caustic soda evaporators, etc.
• Aerospace: Manufacturing fuel pipelines and high-temperature components.
• Electronic Energy: Used in semiconductor equipment and nuclear-grade heat exchangers.

The production process of pure nickel tubes mainly includes key steps such as hot rolling, cold rolling, cold drawing, and welding.

1. Hot rolling is the primary method for producing large-diameter, thick-walled nickel tubes, and its core lies in the precise control of high-temperature plastic deformation.
2. The cold rolling process involves forcibly drawing hot-rolled steel pipes through a die at room temperature to change their outer diameter and wall thickness, thereby increasing the strength of the material.
3. The cold drawing process is similar to the cold rolling process, which is also a room temperature process, but it focuses more on achieving higher dimensional accuracy and surface finish in steel pipes through drawing, while also increasing strength.
4. Welding processes are crucial for the application of pure nickel tubes, especially in chemical and mechanical fields. Pure nickel (Ni200) possesses excellent corrosion resistance, but its welding operation is difficult and requires high technical expertise. Commonly used welding methods include plasma arc welding, laser welding, and electron beam welding. These high-energy-density welding methods can effectively address the unique physical and chemical properties and weldability of pure nickel materials.
