Classification of Titanium alloy tubing
Titanium alloys can be classified into three types according to their microstructure. Add aluminium and tin elements to titanium. Alloying elements such as aluminum, chromium, molybdenum and vanadium are added to titanium. Add elements such as aluminium and vanadium to titanium. They have high mechanical properties, excellent stamping performance, and can be welded in various forms. The strength of the welded joint can reach 90% of the strength of the base metal, and they also have good machinability.
Titanium tubes have high corrosion resistance to chlorides, sulfides and ammonia. Titanium has a higher corrosion resistance in seawater than aluminum alloys, stainless steel and nickel-based alloys.
Titanium also has a strong resistance to water impact.
The properties of titanium alloy tubes:
Titanium alloy tubes are a new type of metal. The properties of titanium are related to the content of impurities such as carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen and oxygen it contains. The impurity content of the purest titanium iodide does not exceed 0.1%, but it has low strength and high plasticity. The properties of 99.5% industrial pure titanium are as follows: density ρ=4.5g/ cubic centimeter, melting point 1725℃, thermal conductivity λ=15.24W/(m.K), tensile strength σb=539MPa, elongation δ=25%, reduction of area ψ=25%, elastic modulus E=1.078×105MPa, and hardness HB195.
