Titanium tubing for bicycles is a high-performance material manufactured from titanium alloy through precision machining. It is the ideal material for producing core components such as high-end bicycle frames, forks, and handlebars. Renowned for its ultra-high strength-to-weight ratio, exceptional corrosion resistance, excellent fatigue resistance, and unique riding comfort, it is hailed as the "gold standard" in the world of bicycle materials.

Tolerances:

1. Precision Tubing: Outer Diameter ±0.05 mm, Wall Thickness ±0.05 mm
2. Industrial Tubing: Outer Diameter ±0.1 mm, Wall Thickness ±0.1 mm

The bicycle industry primarily uses the following types of titanium alloy tubing:

1. Grade 9 (Ti-3Al-2.5V) -- The industry standard

Composition: 3% aluminum (Al) + 2.5% vanadium (V) + 94.5% pure titanium.

Properties: A perfect balance of strength, ductility, weldability, and fatigue resistance. Tensile strength is approximately 810–960 MPa, with a modulus of elasticity of 110 GPa.

Applications: Main triangle of the frame (top tube, down tube, seat tube), rear fork, front fork, etc. It is the most versatile "sweet spot" material.

2. Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) -- High Strength

Composition: 6% aluminum + 4% vanadium.

Properties: Approximately 50% higher strength than Grade 9, with greater rigidity, but more challenging to weld and machine.

Applications: Local reinforcement in high-performance frames (e.g., head tube, bottom bracket shell, disc brake mounts) and high-strength components.

3. Grade 2 (CP Ti) -- Commercially Pure Titanium

Composition: Purity > 99.2%.

Properties: Excellent ductility and exceptional corrosion resistance, but the lowest strength.

Applications: Entry-level titanium frames, small components, and decorative parts.

• Corrosion resistance: Excellent performance in seawater and chloride environments, no coating required
• Fatigue life: Stable performance under cyclic loading with high fatigue strength

• Lifetime durability: Corrosion resistance + no fatigue limit (under reasonable stress), theoretically capable of lasting indefinitely
