1). Industrial pure titanium series (ASTM B265 standard)

Grade 1:
Features: The highest purity (titanium content ≥ 99.5%), excellent plasticity (elongation ≥ 30%), and outstanding corrosion resistance.
Applications: Lining for chemical equipment, desalination pipelines, and medical implants.

Grade 2:
Features: The most commonly used pure titanium grade, with a slightly higher strength than Gr1 (tensile strength ≥ 400 MPa), and high cost performance.
Applications: Nuclear power heat exchangers, ship fittings, architectural decoration.

2). Titanium Alloy Series (GB/T 3620 Standard)

Ti-6Al-4V, Gr5:
Features: α+β alloy type, high strength (tensile strength ≥ 895 MPa), heat resistance (stable at 300℃).
Applications: Aircraft engine blades, spacecraft structural components, orthopedic implants.

Gr6 (Ti-5Al-2.5Sn):
Features: α-type alloy, good weldability, excellent low-temperature performance (maintains toughness at -196℃).
Applications: Liquid hydrogen storage tanks, pressure hulls of ships.

Ti-15333 (Ti-15V-3Cr-3Sn-3Al):
Features: β-type alloy, excellent cold forming ability, can be strengthened through aging treatment (strength up to 1000 MPa).
Application: Aviation fasteners, 3C electronic shells.

3. Special-purpose grades

Gr7 (Ti-0.2Pd):
Feature: With the addition of palladium, the resistance to crevice corrosion is significantly enhanced.
Application: High-concentration chloride environments (such as chemical reaction vessels).

Gr12 (Ti-0.3Mo-0.8Ni):
Feature: Resistant to reduction acid corrosion (such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid).
Application: Wet metallurgy equipment, acidic medium pipelines.

Selection Suggestions:

A. Corrosion resistance priority: Choose pure titanium (Gr1/Gr2) or alloys containing palladium/nickel (Gr7/Gr12).

B. High-strength requirements: Select Gr5 or Ti-15333, and pay attention to the heat treatment state (annealed state M or aged state).

C. Biomedical: It must comply with ISO 5832-2 standards, and Gr1ELI (ultra-low gap element pure titanium) is recommended.
