Welded Nickel Rectangular Crucible

Nickel Rectangular crucible (also known as nickel boat) is a nickel container used to carry and heat solid materials in experiments (such as metal smelting, high-temperature synthesis, etc.). It has the characteristics of high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance.

Nickel Rectangular crucible are prohibited from being used in acidic solvents, sulfur-containing alkaline sulfide fluxes, and precipitation burning operations. Molten aluminum, zinc, lead and other metal salts will cause the vessel to become brittle. New products must be pre-treated by muffle furnace burning and dilute hydrochloric acid boiling. They are widely used in high-temperature raw material processing in metallurgy, glass and ceramics and other industries.

This vessel is primarily used in laboratories and industry: in scientific research, it is used for melting alkali metal salts and strong alkaline substances; in the metallurgical industry, it is used for the purification of rare metals; and in the glass and ceramics industry, it is used for the melting and mixing of high-temperature raw materials. Typical applications include the melting analysis of materials such as ferroalloys, slag, and clay.

Pre-Cautions:

1. Welded Nickel Rectangular Crucible should not be used for calcining precipitates.

2. Acidic solvents such as potassium pyrosulfate and potassium bisulfate, as well as solvents containing sulfides, should not be used in nickel crucibles.

3. When melting sulfur-containing compounds, the process should be performed in an oxidizing environment with an excess of sodium peroxide.

4. Molten metal salts of aluminum, zinc, tin, lead, and other metals can brittle nickel crucibles.

5. Silver, mercury, vanadium compounds, and borax should also not be calcined in nickel crucibles.

6. Nickel is readily soluble in acid; acid should not be used when leaching the frit.

7. Nickel boats often contain trace amounts of chromium; care should be taken when using them.

8. Before use, new nickel crucibles should be calcined at 700°C for several minutes to remove oil and form an oxide film on the surface to extend its service life. The resulting boats should be dark green or gray-black.

9. Before each use, wash with boiling water. If necessary, add a small amount of hydrochloric acid and boil briefly. Then rinse with distilled water and dry.
