Q: Are titanium screws actually strong, or just for looks?
A: Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) is a genuine aerospace structural alloy with a minimum tensile strength of 895 MPa - far stronger than needs to be for bodywork, panels, knives and EDC. For high-stress structural joints, follow the OEM hardware spec.
Q: Will the anodized color chip or fade?
A: No paint is involved. The color comes from a controlled oxide layer grown on the titanium surface - it can't peel or flake like a coating and is highly resistant to UV and sweat. Only deep scratches can remove it.
Q: Do titanium screws rust?
A: Never. Titanium forms a self-healing passive oxide film and is effectively immune to the rust, sweat staining and salt corrosion that plague steel fasteners.
