Development & Introducing of AMS 4907 Titanium alloy sheet
Titanium is an important structural metal that developed in the 1950s. Titanium alloys are widely used in various fields due to their high strength, good corrosion resistance and high heat resistance. Many countries around the world have recognized the importance of titanium alloy materials and have successively conducted research and development on them, which have been put into practical use.
The first practical titanium alloy was the Ti-6Al-4V alloy successfully developed by the United States in 1954. Due to its good heat resistance, strength, plasticity, toughness, formability, weldability, corrosion resistance and biocompatibility, it has become the ace alloy in the titanium alloy industry. The usage of this alloy has accounted for 75% to 85% of all titanium alloys. Many other titanium alloys can be regarded as modifications of the Ti-6Al-4V alloy.
The characteristics of AMS 4907 Titanium alloy sheet
AMS 4907 Titanium alloy sheet has an oxide film on its surface, which is equivalent to a good long-lasting and wear-resistant separation agent. The use of titanium plates saves the separation agent, makes the plate stripping easy, and eliminates the pre-treatment process of the plate. Titanium plates are half as light as copper plates.
The using life of titanium plates is more than three times that of copper plates, and it can reach 10 to 20 years depending on the operating conditions
The electrolytic copper produced from titanium plates has a dense crystalline structure, a smooth and flat surface, and excellent quality.
As titanium plates do not require the application of a separator, contamination by copper electrolyte can be avoided.
Increasing production capacity can reduce the production cost of electrolytic copper, thereby achieving better economic benefits.
