Scholars both domestically and internationally have conducted comprehensive analyses and evaluations of the performance and characteristics of high-performance drill pipes-including sulfur-resistant drill pipes, aluminum alloy drill pipes, and titanium alloy drill pipes-providing a reference for selecting drilling tools in complex environments. From a cost-effectiveness perspective, China urgently needs to independently develop high-performance drill pipes to reduce reliance on imported products and enhance the competitiveness of domestically produced drilling tools.

Typical Applications and Processing Requirements for Gr5 Titanium Rods Gr5 titanium rods are a critical material in oilfield logging instruments, primarily used to manufacture probe components and connecting shafts. Large titanium bars are widely used in oil pipeline systems. Depending on specific production requirements, Gr5 titanium bars with outer diameters in the P97, P30, and other series-ranging from lengths greater than 1 meter to less than 1 meter-are typically used. After being hollowed out, these bars are formed into tubular components with wall thicknesses generally ranging from 2 to 9 millimeters. This application imposes strict requirements on the material: first, good concentricity to ensure rotational precision; second, guaranteed strength, generally required to exceed 970 MPa; and third, good toughness to withstand complex loads.
